Magna Sponge

[Yard Eight]

From what I can tell I think this is from Meguiars,but it isnt listed on all their online info. Anyway I want to use this on my brand new never waxed car. Any thoughts or experience with it?. I have used the clay process before. Thanx

No, it is not Meguiars...

If the car is in good shape, I think I would want regular mild clay.

The reviews seems to indicate is is good for heavier dirt, and can leave some marks/black behind that just need fixed after.

No, it's not our product. From what we've gathered about it, however, it is an excellent alternative to traditional clay but it is quite aggressive. There's a time and place for aggressive clay, which is why we make such a thing. But if your car is in really good shape with only very light bonded contaminants, we would steer you away from our aggressive clay and into a much milder product, and the same may hold true here. Please understand we really aren't trying to dissuade you from purchasing a non Meguiar's product; we just don't want you to create some light marring if you don't have to (ie, if you have no intention of machine polishing following the surface decontamination process). In all honesty, in such a case if all you could find was our C2100 Aggressive Pro Clay and one of our competitors consumer clay kits, we would actually suggest you use the competitors clay over our aggressive as it's just a better fit for the job at hand. Make sense?

I looked at this sponge, but I feel it was for severely neglected or bad paint.
I decided to pass and stay with reg mild clay, since my cars are all in showroom cond.
