    We just bought a black car!

    Hi All, my wife and I finally updated the family car this past weekend, and between the two of us we somehow agreed to buy a black car. It looks awesome, but I know the appearance headaches are coming. I've always kept our cars very clean, but have never been a 'detailer'. I'll be looking to this forum often to get pointers and tips to getting a long life out of this beautiful paint job. Thanks in advance to all those who help with tips and guidance here!

    Congratulations Camzdad. I too purchased a black car almost 2 years ago and also looked to this forum for tips and education. You will not be disappointed with the help you'll receive here. Hope you enjoy your new car!

      Congrats man. Let me give you one word of advice now that I've learned from reading other black car owners posts. Be careful with your wash method. Since its new I'm assuming the finish is pretty flawless, so be careful so you stay ahead of the game! You can find all kinds of wash techniques here.

        What were you thinking when you bought a black car? You know what you're in for, right?


















        With what you learn here on MOL that car will be gleaming and people everywhere will stop and ask you how you managed to make your black car look so good! You'll be mobbed at gas stations, in parking lots, people will roll down their windows at stop lights.

        It will never end!!













        And you thought we were going to say it was gonna be too much work. Admit it.

          Not a fan of black personally. really comes down to how careful you wash the paint.

          You need better technique than you do products.

            I have three black viechles none are perfect but the still are alot of work just make sure you wash it right and use the right product.
