My name is Mike, a long-time BMW enthusiast. Looking for tips on restoring the finish on my older bimmers. I own the following cars (sometimes they own me):
'82 635CSI Euro (Henna Red (orange) needs clearcoat help)
    '87 535iS (Salmon (silver/gold), my hot rod)
    '92 525iT (Black, camping wagon)
'93 325iC (Red, the convertible for wine country)
    '98 540i (Black, wife's car for sale)
    '04 330Ci (White, wife's new convertible)

All are rust free southwest cars ('cept the 540), the '93 has newish paint but the 3 older cars all need some help. Hoping to absorb some good ideas, I know Meguiar's knows their stuff.

to MOL! Glad to have you on board.

This article (Meguiar's 5-Step Paint Care Cycle) is a good place to start.

Are you planning to do everything by hand or are you planning to invest in a dual action polisher in the future?
