  • Greetings from Italy

Hi everyone, my name's Alberto and I'm writing from Italy.

I own a white Abarth Grande Punto which I am paint correcting and detailing just these days.
Really needed to do it, it was full of swirls and also had quite some rids and a few other scratches...

Tomorrow I'll be doing the sides and the roof (I have already done the front and back)
I'm actually using a G220 with a yellow W8207 polishing pad and Ultimate Compound, followed by Gold Class Carnauba plus wax, applied with a black W9207 finishing pad.

I'm very very pleased with the results. Great gloss and even a meticulous sun check will not reveal any scratches. It's coming out flawless!
Will post some pictures once the whole car is done.
I have found this forum extremely helpful and so I have been able to gather the tools and then started working with confidence. I am taking my time and doing things slowly and accurately.

I have also fully detailed the interior and the rims / tyres and they also look gorgeus!

Welcome Alberto. Can't wait for the pics so I can see what a Abarth Grande Punto is.

It's a souped up Fiat Grande Punto. Abarth is Fiat's tuning division. I'll post pics ASAP.

Think VW GTI but with Italian flair. No, there are no VW bits in it, but it is a hot hatch in the same vein as the GTI, MINI, etc.

Ok, so here are some pictures. Please pardon me for the bad light but I shot them at dusk (when I finished detailing, hehe...) Hope you enjoy them!

Very nice! I'm diggin' the white wheels with red accents. Hot hatch indeed.
