I love cars... But I didn't realize how poorly I take care of the paint or how nice my cars could look (potentially), until I started looking around the net. I have a 2000 BMW 328i black on black and a 2010 Subaru Forester paprika/black. I can't wait to get my hands on my BMW and really treat it nice. I am outfitting myself with a PC 7424XP and a selection of LC Pads. I think I will try the UC, UP, and UW for the resurection.

Is there a benefit to throwing in a step for a polish without any abrasives as well or would that not add anything?

I will post some pics when I get everything and have a day to play.

Thanks for all the great info. This site is very motivating.

Sounds like a good start.... dont forget clay as well, and good soaps, two buckets, towels, etc for washing.

If you have minor scratches, swirls, buffing marks, etc, you should look at using something like Ultimate Compound(G17216) and if the paint does not have much for defects, I would use some pure polish like Mirror Glaze Show Car Glaze(M0716) and then top it off with a good wax job. . .just my 5 cents!!

Just out of curiosity, what made you go with the PC-7424XP?
