Re: Removing tree sap
WhaT KIND OF TREE? iS IT PINE? If it is pine, you can carefully push the edge with an old credit card. If it has hardened, it will pop off. Be careful not to scratch the surface. Is it is not hard it will slide off. Use bug cleaner carefully on the residue. Re-wax the area. Take an axe to the tree. Do not tell a lie, if it is cherry.

Re: Removing tree sap
I like Stoner Tarminator for removing tree sap. It seems to work better than other over-the-counter products. The local O'Reilly Auto Parts store here in Roanoke carries it.
