  • car paint "repair pens"

Hey - I have a nice old Volvo with hurricane damage to the paint - chips from flying debris - my question is whether those pens you can get to seal the exposed paint really work or I'm just wasting my precious 15 minutes - thankx

    Re: car paint "repair pens"

The paint in a pen, or in a bottle that is meant to match your car color is fine to use. You cna probably call your Volvo dealer to get a pen that matches exactly.

Just be sire to clean the chip out well, then apply the paint.

However, it is usually best to apply with a toothpick, or similar, not the pen or brush itself. Do a couple real thin applciations with the toothpick, and it will be better than one big blob from the brush.

Let cure for 30 days or so before waxing...
