Harpic is some kind of sticky stuff that is produced by some trees and if it is not removed very quickly it becomes very hard.

Harpic is the brand name of a toilet bowl cleaner launched in England in the 1920s and now marketed by Reckitt Benckiser.

The brand is now available in Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

Tree sap, if allowed to dry, can be extremely difficult to remove. If you catch it soon enough you should be able to treat it with some Gold Class Bug & Tar Remover and then cover it with a warm, wet and soapy towel for several minutes to help soften it.

I sometimes park my car (black 2004 renault) under tress for the shade. The Eucalypts and related trees here is Sydney shed a lot of resin and sap onto the car in a hot day. After a wash, small marks are still visible. I've used (by hand) SwirlX 2.0 and the deep crystal paint cleaner on small areas to see their effectiveness.

We're not sure if you’re referring to tree sap, the sticky substance that can fall from trees, or the type of staining that can occur when the tannins in leaves leech out when wet leaves have been sitting on the car for some time. These are two very different situations that call for very different remedies. Can you tell us which of these two it is?
