  • Hello from Houston Texas!!

I am an avid user of Mequires for over 20 years. Every vehicle I work on gets the same response from people "WOW", how do you do that! I am currently experimenting with the NXT Generation system and have put it up for a challenge against a product my brother is playing with called Zaino. He has recently purchased a black Toyota Tundra truck and I have challenged him to a deeper, wet look contest. I will be working on his wifes RED Z71 pick up. Let the games begin!!!!

NXT will produce a very similar shine to Zaino, but it won't retain the durability for as long as Zaino.

Be sure that when you compare the end results that you are comparing apples to apples. The zaino steps require multiple applications of various product to reach the final results, so find out which of the Zaino Steps your brother plans on following and use a similar approach with applying your Meguiar's product.

You can't compare NXT 2.0 to Zaino, because Zaino is an entire line of products. You would need to compare Meguiar's to Zaino.

Welcome to the forum, and it's nice to see another from the Houston area

        Re: Hello from Houston Texas!!

Thanks for the input, I am aware of the Zaino steps and have already starting prepairing for the challenge. I will be using a 4 step system, 3 of which I have used for years with the Deep Crystal method. My final step will be the NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0

Step 1 - I use the liquid cleaner wax with a wool pad.

Step 2 - Deep Crystal #2 liquid Polish used with a foam polishing pad.

Step 3 - Deep Crystal #3 liquid Carnuaba used with a finishing pad.

Step 4 - Apply the NXT Generation Tech wax 2.0 (liquid) by hand!!

I thnk it will come out very wet looking, if I loose I will have to pay for dinner and the beer. We drink a lot of beer standing around (admireing our work) after a day of this much fun. I will make sure to add pictures of the two and details.

I would apply NXT 2.0 before the Deep Crystal #3.

2.0 is a sealant and needs to bond with the paint before another LSP is applied.

Other than that, your products look fine. Good luck
