Welcome to MOL from another Johannesburger. As Mike pointed out, we have a local forum going which can always use new members, so join us if you haven't done so already.

ClearlyCoated - Johannesburg is ready to rock the world. Kick off concert was a huge success last night and we're just under 7 hours to go to the opening ceremony as I type this.

Although we're the underdogs for the opening match, I hope home ground advantage (and some Vuvuzela shock to the Mexicans) will lift our performance.

I also hope that the USA upset England this weekend.

I saw some highlights of the concert last night and seems like it was a great show. Today everything starts. I'm not a big fan of the sport but since I'm in Spain (I think I could say it's the favorite team around the world) people here only talk about it.
