  • New Guy With Some Quick Questions

Hey guys, just came across this website searching on the internet and I decided to join. I got a 2008 chevy cobalt and I want it to look good. couple quick questions:
Are the steps to washing a car: Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Polish, Wax, and/or Polish again?
And is the Meguiars Cleaner Wax a Wax? Or just something that cleans wax that is on the car already?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome. You have your steps right but there is no need to polish after you wax. The wax portion comes in after all of your prep work has been done. Wash, clay, polish and than wax to seal it all in. The cleaner wax is indeed a wax. It also aids in the cleaning of your paint. It is a very good product.

Re: New Guy With Some Quick Questions

        A good quick detail is:

        Wash
        Clay
        ColorX
        Wax

The ColorX will be a bit stronger than the cleaner/wax, which could be good for you. And yes, ColorX needs to dry also.
