  • Hard Water Stains

Lawn sprinklers are leaving serious stains on paint. They get baked in by the Fl sun. Have not found a way to prevent or to remove.

High speed wheel a bit challenging to use since I do not do it everyday. Have used a small 10" orbital but it does not do much.

My everyday Murano is taking a beating and the GTO and 48 Chev street rod need sun (uv) protection. Recommendations for this

I'm having the same issue. I used clay and it got it off the paint, but I can't find anything to get the hard water stains off the glass. Any tips?

That 10" orbital is going to get you nowhere fast

I have had great luck removing water spots using a DA & 5.5" orange pads with 105. The main thing is you will need to work in very small areas and apply a good amount of preasure

      What machine are you using

a good coat of wax will help resolve this problem by beading the water and helping to stop it from penetrating into the paint. a good easy on/easy off wax is meguiars nxt 2.0. it is a synthetic wax that offers long lasting protection. the liquid version is incredibly easy to apply. i haven't tried the paste yet.

i have the same problem on my truck from years of washing it with hard water and not drying it. swirl-x seems to be doing the trick on my truck to remove the water spots. if this is not strong enough for you, take a step up in aggressiveness and try ultimate compound. but always try the least aggressive product first.

i also have water spots on my glass. in this case, swirl-x wasn't strong enough for the spots on my glass. i skipped the ultimate compound and picked up some M04 heavy cut cleaner since it is tried and true on removing glass water spots. it took me 50 minutes and a lot of elbow grease, but i removed the water spots from one of my side glasses. after that, i didn't have it in me to do another glass. for the glass, i picked up some rain-x 2 in 1 with a water repellent to keep this from happening again.
