  • Another newb

    Hello,
My name is Billy, I am a complete newb when it comes to actually detailing a car. I have an 03 Cobra that is in dire need of a good buff. Here is a few pics of the car.

      Welcome to MOL!!

Those burnouts throw a ton of rubber onto the bottom of the quarter panels. A little painters tape laid down on those areas prior to a track day makes clean up a breeze. Just pull off the tape at the end of the day and all the rubber goes with it!

I already have found a ton of good information. I registered to learn about using a rotary buffer. Yesterday I think I watched just about every video on how to do so.
Luckily I have an old 94 Toyota pick-up that used to be red and is now pink that I have to practice on. I even have a few black later model body panels to try on before I even think about touching the Cobra.

If only you knew how bad they look already.... Daily driving with drag radials has nearly sand blasted the paint.
