  • introducing myself

Hello my name is Lorraine, my husband Frank and I own a 1970 AMX. 390 4 speed, Big Bad Orange.
I love my car and if it wasn"t for Meguiar I would not be posting this today.
The car had to be painted, a cat got in our garage and well cat pee eats paint. The body shop did the worst paint job I ever seen. They would not repaint it so I was on a quest to make it right myself (Lorraine). The car was nothing but over spray. So I went online an researched it myself.
First I wet sanded it, then used 3M liquid compound, then I waxed it with
a name brand wax. Still didn"t have that shinney wet look. I was at a car show and there were goodie bags. I sat looking through the bag and came across a sample of MEGUIAR"S wet look wax. I got a micro towel out of the trunk and did a spot on the rear fender. Low a behold there was MY beautiful paint job I dreamed of. I went around to all my friends and asked them for their samples. Most of them didn"t care they had there ways and used what they liked (MISTAKE).
I had enough to do the the hood and top of the fenders. It looked better then a new car. I sat there an cried. Now every where we go people say they never seen a car shine like ours. I take a bottle of NXt Generation TECH WAX to every cruise and car show, if I see a car that has that dull look. I ask them if I can show them on a little spot of there paint how it works. If they want I let them wax the whole car. I have brought on more new users and they love it. Remember the guys that gave me there samples, when they seen my car a week later they thought I got a new paint job. Guess what they are useing now. LOLO
    I Love Your Products!!!!!
God Bless and keep the shinney side up.

    Thanks again Lorraine

Funny you should mention this.... you know that original "Goodie Bag" you got? Well, the contents of that bag (the Meguiar's part, anyway!) was supplied by our Special Events Department, which actually grew out of Barry Meguiar doing exactly what you describe above. Back in the '60s Barry would travel to car shows and do little demos of product (obviously long before NXT existed!!) and hand out bottles of product in exchange for the car owner putting up a little sign stating the car owed it's shine to Meguiar's.

It is really fantastic to see that today even our customers are doing this kind of promotion for us at shows!! So thank you for loyalty and support - you are just awesome!
