  • Hello from SE Wisconsin

Spring is on the way and I just bought a new car.

Been using Meguiar's products for 10+ years and am sorry to find that the last half bottle of Clear Coat Prep and Swirl Reducer is all I'll ever have. It's a great product. Based on what I've read here so far, I'll try Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner as a replacement.

Good News: Lots of Meguiar's good products to choose from.

Bad News: Lots of Meguiar's good products to choose from.

Very well said! Mind if I quote you... oops, I guess I did!

But more good news is great support from Meguiars Customer Service and the people on this forum to help you out with the right products for you.

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is a great product, but it will be very tough to find it here in the US....

What are you trying to remove ?

SwirlX or Ultimate Compound are probably better choices, and easier to find at your local retailer...

There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

            Mike:

Looks like I can order it direct. It's in stock. Here's the link: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...p?T1=MEG+A3016

I've been using Clear Coat Prep every spring before the first waxing with Gold Class liquid. Also use it after a trip to get the muck off before waxing.

The 2 you suggest are rather strong for general use, yes?

Welcome from another SE WI (Town of Mukwonago) Meg's user. There are many new and improved products from Meg's these days, IMHO. With a new car, I'd suggest the Smooth Surface Clay Kit, SwirlX (if needed), and NXT 2.0 for OTC products. I also love their Ultimate Quik Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax for weekly maintenance. I use their Quik Wheel Detailer weekly as well.

              Again, welcome to Meguiar's.
