  • New to detailing and liking it

Hi everyone, I started detailing my car after reading about it in other car forums; it started out as advice and now I am getting pretty serious. Planning on getting a rotary buffer next... just to see how much more it can do for me.

Well guys my car isn't something most people would detail -- it's just an old 93' integra which is still in decent shape.

I just started my detailing journey not too long ago... I need some pointers on how to get my car's paint in tip top shape again. Any recommendations on rotary buffers would be a great start. I know hey can cost a pretty penny but let me know what you guys think, thanks!

I would look at what you are trying to do, and the condition of your car.

You may do best with a DA polisher, like a G110v2, Flex, PC, etc. You may not need to go as strong as a rotary. Some pics could help.

      Hello and welcome to mol.

Depending on your prior experience. you may not want to step up to a rotary right away. A lot of paint correction can be taken care of with a G110. They are practically fool proof. Where on the other hand, there is a steep learning curve for the rotary.

Yep I saw a few of the meguiar's videos and have concluded it will be a very difficult skill to learn. It was recommended i practice on a less important car -- and i have one in mind.

I'm sure I will appreciate it in the end. I have a simple DA at home, but the rotary seems like the all purpose tool in the end. thanks for comments.

          Welcome aboard!

What "most people" would or wouldn't detail isn't the point. Keeping your car looking good for yourself is what's important. By learning how now with an older car, you'll know what to do next time you get a new one to keep it looking that way

Good luck and happy detailing. Just be warned that detailing is addictive. I think some one can quit smoking crack easier than they can detailing once the bug has a hold!
