  • Craig - New to the forum

Hi, I'm looking forward to learning from this forum. I have a big project for the summer, a very faded 1977 GMC motorhome, that I'm going to try and get a little better looking. (Will be repainted someday, but just want to get it a little more presentable in the meantime.)

Also have a '88 Fiero GT, that needs some swirl marks and scratches taken out of it.

    Thanks,
    Craig

Re: Craig - New to the forum

                All,
Thanks for all the intro's. As far as application, I got a great deal ($60) on a returned Milwaukee rotary polisher at Sears which is what got me to thinking about all this. (Well that and the budget changes that made me realize new motorhome paint is probably 5+ years away). Just to experiment, I tried a small spot on the motorhome with Meguiars 83. In preliminary reading of the forums, sounds like I probably need something more aggressive like Diamond Cut 2.0. (33 years of sun exposure take its toll). It's factory painted w/ Imron, which I understand is pretty hard, plus it can't look any worse, so I'm okay if I burn through a spot or two.

On the Fiero (Black w/ lotso swirls) sounds like it would be best if I go out and pick up a PC or other dual action type polisher.
Thanks again for all the commnents.
