Hi all...

Let me introduce myself as a newbie in car detailing. Just starting this year

Everything happens because of circumstances, my car is operating in industrial areas (even next to the refinery unit) and next to the beach.
Unfortunately, there is no paint maintenance shop here, so I had to do it myself.. (Lucky me...). I believe, an almost 10 years old car should be shiny too

Hopefully, I can practice the knowledge without doing anything wrong.

Welcome. Sounds like you car works in a tough place, salt, distillates from the refinery, very humid area.. I hope you stay on the forum - I'd love to know how the products hold up in Indonesia. You are upn Sumatra?

So far the products work good (I would like to say: "AMAZING"). Just try PlasticX, GC Shampoo, and NXT 2.0 wax.

Actually I have SwirlX and ScratchX (Got the swirl from the best car wash in town..), but I run out of applicator pad, so still waiting for the Meg's applicator pad.

I tried to use both of those products by cotton applicator pad, but they didn't work so well .

Yes, you are right, Dumai and Duri are small towns on middle east of Sumatra.

I am just hanging around there for looking some rare or cool stuffs .

I get what I want here on MOL, to understand the basic knowledge, to separate myth and fact, and to get logical explanation.

Cleaning the car in correct way is my main objective, because I love it, I enjoy it, and it is one of my Hobbies. A shiny car is only the side effect of doing it in correct way-absolutely, A shiny car is not my main objective for sure
