I'm Ron and I too have just joined this illustrious group. Thanks for having me.
Some of you have mentioned the cold weather were you live. Curlew, Washington is no exception. 8 below overnight and we haven't gotten to January yet. Apparently no one told global warming about Curlew.
I'm hoping someone out there has had some experience buffing and polishing out waterborne urethane clear-coats. I'm in the process of painting a homebuilt, fiberglass airplane that I've been building for...well let's just say, a very long time. I chose the waterborne paints because they are virtually non-toxic but I'm used to the deep dipped-in-glass results you can get with solvent based urethane clear-coats. I am having trouble achieving that same result with the waterborne. Any clues? Or am I just expecting too much? I know Meguiar's has the products, just not sure which ones will work best for waterborne paints.
