  • Hello from freezing MI

    Hello,

New guy here from Bay City MI. Detailing has been a hobby of mine for about 5 years now. My brother works as a detailer and has a small business on the side and he got me interested in the "hobby".

I used to use just a pile of all different sorts of brands but in the last year have concentrated on primarily Meguiars.

I currently own a 1976 BMW 2002 and a 2010 Toyota Corolla XRS. I put about 1000 miles a season on the bimmer.

I just got the corolla 2 weeks ago. Although it is getting really cruddy up here. Which really upsets me. I love detailing on saturday mornings but when it is 20 deg. out and there is snow on the ground I cannot do so.

However I just ordered some ONR after reading so many good things about it on here and elsewhere. So I am excited to get that in the mail so I can get the corolla to look good for at least a few hours

I am going to try to limit my contact with water as much as I can so how would this work out? Buying a spraying (like a lawn chem. sprayer) from sears and making the mixture of ONR in that and mist the car then use a MF mit to wash?

Welcome white02. Hope you enjoy the many hours of fun reading ahead of you here at the forum.

So long as you don't have heavy dirt or road salt on your car, the ONR mist and a microfiber should work fine. Be sure to turn your MF towel often, or if you're using a full mitt, rinse it often. There are several videos on the Optimum website showing you how to wash with the ONR also, if you want some video entertainment.

    Good Luck!
