    Scratch in clear coat

    Hi,


    New to website, but have been using Mequiar's products for several
    decades. Purchased a new car two months ago and it just got its first scratch in the clear coat. Buffed Meguiar's Scratch X on, took it off, and applied clear coat wax. Helped somewhat, but part of the scratch remained. Is there a Meguiar product that might address this problem without resorting to 2000 grit sandpaper?

    Pics would help of course, depends on how bad the scratch is. Also, depends on how you applied the product.

    By buffing it on/off, do you mean you wiped it on? Or almost had the car rocking on its springs as you worked it in?
