  • Magnet - from the corvetteforum

    Hi everybody,

I have a yellow C3 corvette for over 10 years and recently purchased a black 1985 corvette. The black corvette shines ok, but has many swirls. As a winter project, I am seeking to have theblack car swirless with a deep shine. So, for me to have an amazing shine, I need the product, tools and know how. From the corvetteforum, I am aware on how powerful forums are.

Firstly, prior to registering to this forum, I read many threads and posts and was very impressed. After registering, I read all the rules, regs and tips/techiques.

Here are some pictures of my cars.

Thanks for taking the time to read what I have to say.

      Welcome to MOL!

We're confident we can help you get that black '85 Vette looking great in the coming months so you can enjoy it to the fullest next spring. You should start by thoroughly going through our 5 Step Paint Care Cycle and then ask questions from there.

          Thanks Michael and Bob.

Michael, I did review the 5 step process which was very beneficial. Thanks.

Bob, it is nice to see another fellow CF member here.

Yesterday I purchased the Meguiar's clay bar kit and the Meguiar's quick detailer. From my researching of member posts, claying is an imperative step after washing the car. I am not in any major hurry as this is a winter project, so I want to have the proper products and their uses defined before getting started. I will post my next questions in 101 section.
