  • k3ith - intro

I am relatively new to real detailing. For years I have applied OTC products by hand but recently got more into it, bought a nice DA, etc. My plans are still only recreational, not professional. I am kinda the family detail guy and work on many cars in my home garage. I usually have weeks to work on a single car.

In other words, my family and I just have relatively nice cars and enjoy keeping them looking sharp. Between my dad, brother and myself, I currently work on: 1999 Corvette Soft Top (white), 2003 BMW 3 (black), 2006 Lexus RX 330 (black), 2006 BMW X3 (silver), 2009 Yukon (stealth gray), 2009 Acura MDX (black), 2009 Mini Cooper (tan'ish) and a Harley Road King (purple w/tons of chrome). Further I am starting to get into older cars and that need more attention.

I am sure you'll see me asking novice questions so please be patient! Thanks in advance.

              Thanks for the welcome messages.

I have learned more in two days browsing this forum than I did in weeks comprised of multiple trips to AutoZone (I live in Memphis) where I stood reading product labels till I was completely confused and frustrated!
