New to detailing and car care. I am getting a new car soon and am trying to educating myself. It seems to be more complicated than I thought, so many products and types of treatment/procedures (wash, wax, polish, clay...what else?).

What is a good place for a beginner like me to start for (detailing 101)?

Since you're in SoCal the best place for you to start is at one of our Saturday Detailing 101 Classes here in Irvine. Follow that up with a few Thursday Night Open Garage sessions and you'll weed through the confusion pretty quickly and get some great hands on experience.
