  • Hi from Chile South America..

    Hi,

my name is Nelson and iam from Santiago Chile, i am starting detailing and is something really new here.. i contacted a distributor from Chile and i'am getting all my products to start from him, there are alot of hacks doing 'polishing' and i think theres going to be alot of work to do, i already have about 9 cars lined up and i'am just waiting for some DA's and Rotaries to arrive from the USA and have been using megs since i can remember, i wanted to be a part of this forum and hope i can be of great help.

cars are really expensive here (about 2 or 3 times than in USA) and also products have to be imported so the price of megs products also is about double than in the us, the detailing prices start from 50dls per hour (from 200-300) minimum per job

thanks for the kind welcome, theres alot of people here calling themself detailers (well kind of what happens in the us) with little money they get in the buisness, the only detailing tool here is a rotary, people buy them, slap a wool pad, buy some rubbing compound and start polishing (more like damaging) cars, i havent seen anyone here with a DA, i just got one and ordered a g220, its great, lots of power. i still need (want) alot more things, i need my PTG, 3m sungun, temperature gauge,LC pads, and alot of products, sadly chile doesnt have very good car products, so the only way is importing, and that adds up with shipping and the 26% tax for import.
