  • Greetings from the Mitten

Hi all, just a lurker/Meguiars junkie registering... I was researching rail dust removal on my Ford Explorer, and figured I'd better join! I took delivery of my Maguiars G100 a couple of months ago and love it so far. I recently wetsanded and recovered a 1999 Taurus SHO which I sold, so I'm going to be spending some time on the forum and also with my beloved '95 Explorer, Snowball.

    Here she is:

    This was my SHO:

          Thanks all!

Sorry for that crappy pic of my SHO, here are a couple more MOL appropriate pictures.

It came from this- all but one fender and the hood looked like this:

Overall, I think I got it to about 90%, but I was out of paint to work with, so I think she came out pretty good- thanks to Meguiars!

What do you think of the new SHO? I was lucky to dri...err I mean "ride" in one (wink wink) and it was insanely nice. Such a smooth car...

Thanks Mark... It took f-o-r-e-v-e-r!!! LOL!

I'm not sure on the new SHO yet. Our group was at a private unveiling in Dearborn at the proving grounds and drove it before the premiere a the Chicago auto show, and I don't know. I mean it's strong- really strong- but it's too big for me. I think the Fusion would have been a better base for the car. But, if it's a SHO it needed to be a Taurus. I've owned 9 of them, and loved them all.

For anyone interested in a clip, the last 20 seconds of this Ford produced video shows our procession around the track in dearborn followed by the 2010 SHO. It was pretty cool to have the group involved in that little piece of automotive history.
