  • Hi from Australia!

    Hey everyone,

My name is Jen, and i'm from Sydney, Australia. I'm 25 and got my first car last August. It's a 1993 Toyota Corolla, and is my pride and joy. My brother first introduced me to Meguiars, telling me to buy only that brand, as he's used it for years.

He taught me how to wax my car, and I've worked up quite a collection of products, his car was in a car show yesterday, and due to work commitments, he had trouble getting it ready, after seeing what I've done with my car, he actually let me wash it and do the interior. (If you knew my brother, you'd know this took alot of trust! he actually has a sign on his car saying, "look and admire, but please don't touch"!)
He reckons that I should get a job as a detailer, or a rep for Meguiars lol, as now I know more about the products then him! haha

I found this forum while looking for instructions on microfibre cloths, and already found my answer, spent quite a few hours on here last night, so much interesting info!
So I hope to swap ideas and tips with you all, and learn more about caring for my car

Hello, and welcome...yeah, there's always more to learn, I've been cleaning cars for 20+ years, I've already learned quite a few tips and tricks just from reading here in the last week or so. I'm not a professional by any means, but what makes this site great is the fact that there's something here for everyone!!

                Hi everyone!
                Thanks for all the welcomes!

Yep, I've got so many questions, but i've found lots of answers already, don't wanna be one of those people that asks a question that's been asked!! hehe

It was funny when my brother let me clean his car the other day, so nervous, I kept calling him saying can I do this? Can I use this brush on the wheels? hehe, so much pressure! oh and the worst was when a red back (poisonous spider her in Aus) jumped out of the door jam and onto my hand!!! eep!!!

Hey Jen was your brothers car entered in the All Ford day at Eastern Creek? Lets see pics of your work.
I wish my sister was as enthusiastic you are about car care.

                    ha, hey professor!

How'd you figure that out? yep it was All Ford day, it's his second year there, rained heaps this year though, but it was still good, though I did spend most of my time at the meguiars stand, lol, 20% off everything and a free boot organiser if you spend more than $50, hehe, bargains!

Here's his car, the photos were taken on my camera phone, and if was so overcast, so they're a bit dark. Can't believe how long it took to do that car! rained the whole day, so I would do a little bit, then hide under the carport, then go back out, lol.
