Hello everyone.
I am 21 years old and I am mainly a performence mechanic for my own business that I am starting within the next year. I never done body work, and currently I am getting ready to sell my Integra LS my "daily driver". I am converting the car from pearlescent blue to high gloss black. I started with the bumper sanded it down to get chips and scratches out with 220, 320, and 400 grit sandpaper primed it, sanded it, primed it, wet sanded it with 1000 grit. Now I just added a fresh high gloss black paint (first of two coats), now I am confused as to what I am supposed to do next. I wet sand the first coat with 1500 or 2000 grit then compound it? then clean then add the next coat, wet sand with 2000 or 2500 grit then compund again? and when I add the two coats of clear coat, do I wet sand them in between? please help I am new at this and cannot find the solution to my dilema.
Thanks guys!!!
