Hello from Pittsburgh!

Hello! Just bought a new '08 Black Mustang and have been referring to the site for tips recently so I figured i'd sign up.

Have a few questions already (tough water spots and correct waxing procedures on a black car) but i'll post them in their proper places.

I've been detailing for about 7 years now, but i'm finding that owning a Black car is an uphill battle!

Hey MyFirstES. I've been past there a few times on 28, but i was born and raised in the south hills so I pretty much only cross the river on 279 to go to PNC park or Heinz field haha. Sorry, man. Are you a Pittsburgh guy?

My father was born and raised there. I used to visit my Grandmother every summer until she passed away in 1995. I really liked Pittsburgh a lot, especially downtown!

I have very fond memories of those summers and the places I went while in Pittsburgh. Sharpsburgh as I last remember it was a very old and depressed town, but steeped in history of long ago.

That's mostly what I have heard about the Sharpsburgh when I do hear things. Not a bad area, but not that great, just there. With the East End being just across the river though, that's a pretty good sign.

SHYNEMAN, what method did you use to get the black paint on that car in your picture looking so great?! I'm having a heck of a time with mine and honestly getting kind of frustrated. The paint really is in good condition, but there are some swirls and other strange marks on the hood i'd like to take care of from the previous owner.
