I joined the group to learn more about paint care for my 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380sl. It is completely original, and has very nice, shiny paint. I want to clean the paint thoroughly and apply a nice coat of wax

You should sign up for the TNG and the detailling classes, they are also free, well you do have to sign up!

All Saturday Classes are Open Classes, any Registered Member can attend by signing up for a class by replying to the sign-up thread.

Also in Mission Viejo, just like you, but my 1984 Mercedes (a 300D) most decidedly does not have shiny paint.

Welcome to MOL. I'm in San Clemente just a few exits away. You should try going to a Saturday class or a Thursday night garage.
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
Remove swirls my friends.Comment
