  • Hello there from New Hampshire !

    About me:

    My Name is Bobby Field.
I was born and raise in New Hampshire back on April 14th, 1958. I started out riding at the ripe old age of 5yrs. old riding snowmobiles in 1963, I also had a go-cart that I ran in the summer. By 1968 I had a Honda Mini Trail 50 that I rode all over in about a 30 mile radias from my home. In 1973 I brought a new Honda CR250M Elsinore and raced Moto-Cross in New England with NESC, and rode with my good friends Jimmy Ellis [ factory Can- Am and Honda racer ], and Jo Jo Keller, [ factory Honda racer ], and Charlie Iott [ factory Can-Am, Honda, and Harley Davidson racer ]. I raced motocross from 1973 to 1978, in the 250 class in 1973, the 125 class in 1976, and the Open class in 1978. Then in 1981 I raced Honda Odyssey's in stock and modified classes for flat track, and in stock and modified classes for tt, up at Loudon in front of the speedway. [ they had the tracks there years ago ]. In 1983 I started showing cars with the Autorama and ISCA organizations with my 800hp. 6-71 Blown 383ci. 1923 Ford Model T Roadster Pick-up named "Nas-Tee", and my 1977 Chevy 6-71 Blown El Camino SS, named "Bad Company". In 1985 to 1987 I was the International Show Car Assoc. Custom Pick-up World Champion with my El Camino SS. In 1992 I built a 1990 Chevy Pro Street Silverado Sportside, which has been on ESPN's Mothers Car Show tv shows a number of times. Bill Stephens said that it was the best example of street rod and pro street ever put together !! It's also has been in a number of national seen magazines. Big Daddy Don Garlits said that it looked like a top fueler with a pick-up body mounted on it ! I still have my 1923 Ford Model T Roadster Pick-up, and my 1990 Chevy Pro-Street Silverado Sportside Pick-up. I've owned everything from a 1967 and 1967 Olds Toronado, [it was two crashed cars, one with a crashed rearend, one with a crashed frontend, and my Dad and I took the two good halfs, and welded them together], a 1973 Chevy El Camino, a 1966 Cadillac Sedan Deville, a 1973 Chevy Nova hot rod, a 1957 Chevy Stepside Pick-up hot rod, a 1957 Chevy Bel Air hot rod, a 1976 MG, a 1948 MG with a 283 Chevy in it, a 1956 Ford Thunderbird, a 1926 Buick Master Deluxe, a 1983 Chevy Silverado 6.2 Diesel Pick-up, a 1985 Ford Ranger Pick-up hot rod, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biritz, a 1973, and 1974 Cadillac Eldorados, a 6-71 Blown 800hp. 383ci Chevy powered 1923 Ford Model T Roadster Pick-up, a 1977 6-71 Blown Chevy El Camino SS World Championship Show Car, a 1996 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab with a 4"-6" lowered Pick-up hot rod, and a 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z-71 4x4. I worked as a Water Well Driller for 25yrs., and drove tractor trailer for a big paving company for 7yrs., and became permanently disablied after an accident in 2002. In 2006 I took in my recently divorced father who has terminal cancer. I give blood to American Red Cross at least three to four times a year to help out others in need. I've started to proceed to have Stomach By-Pass Surgery, and am going to classes, and doctors, and should be able to have the surgery done in November, or December of 2008. I've gained a lot of weight from both my meds, and not being able to work anymore. I reached 396lbs. Since I started my proceedings in late July 2008 for the By-Pass Stomach surgery, I'm down now at Labor Day, 2008 at 369lbs, and need to reach 359lbs to have my surgery done. My goal is to get back to my old 180, 220lbs. I'm 6 feet tall, and that is the ideal weight for my size. I got down to 356 for my Dec 8th 2008 surgery date, and I'm doing great. I'm now down to 272 pounds as of April 22th, 2009. On Feb. 4th, 2009, I had to have my Gallbladder removed, but I'm doing good. They say I'll have no problem reaching my 180 pound goal, or maybe even less, because I'm doing so good. I can't wait !!! I haven't had any problems at all with getting sick, or having the dredded "dumping" problems. Knock on wood. I'm being awful carefull to do things right. I eat slow, and chew everything really good, and follow their directions. That's the key if you want to do well. I'm all for that ! I just joined a gym last week, and have started going everyday to the gym for an hour a day everyday, starting on Monday, April 20th, 2009. I stay up on all the happenings in racing [ NASCAR, NHRA, AMA ], and in the world of hot rods and street rods. I try to live life to my best and help out others as much as I can. My motto is : when your dead, your dead for a long time, so live life.
I'm glad to be here, and now you know a little about me.
    Thanks,
    Bobby Field.
