    Thanks

    Manny

By the way, can some one tell me what I need to do so I can load attachments to my threads? i was trying to load some pictures of my truck so you could see my paint conditions and start giving me advice but I can't it says "You may not post attachments" in the bottom right box titled "Posting Rules"...

        Re: Hello from Idaho

I think I read something I needed some kind of permission from the moderator?? It's almost useless not to be able to post a picture when you come into this forum...this is all about the looks and if I'm looking to fix some swirls marks and some scratches how will you all know how they look if this is something I need 30 post or additional permissions? Maybe I missed something when I read through the emails I got to complete my registration?...Help from moderator?! Thanks

I was able to load some pictures to the galery, copied the URL on the the attachement page but nothing showed up but a small box with a red X in it
I'll try again on this message - insert image, copy URL, etc.......same red X box

                      Re: Hello from Idaho

On the homepage of the forum you'll find this in the center column,

How to place a picture into your message
Digital cameras are GREAT! But if you don't know how to get your pictures off your computer and into your messages nobody's going to ever get to see your really cool pictures.
Working with photos on discussion forums

It goes over things like how to resize HUMONGOUS pictures to a viewable size for most people and their monitors.

It also shows you this screen shot, which is the problem you had with your code, (I fixed it)

To add a picture to your message, look for this little button in the Text Formatting Tools just above where you see this text. Click on it.

                      You'll see this,

Note that a chunk of code is already in this dialog box every time you open it. You need to either delete it or copy and paste over it while it's highlighted.

A common problem people have is they don't remove the code and after they copy and paste the URL Address they end up with two sets of http:// in their line of code and as a result, you see a Red X instead of a pictures.

                      This is correct

                      http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/fo...81/NewWing.jpg

This is incorrect, note the extra http://

                      http://http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/forums/photopost/data/881/NewWing.jpg

If you do everything right, the code should look like this,

                      Mike Phillips
                      760-515-0444
                      showcargarage@gmail.com
