Just bought my first new car ever (09 Honda Fit Sport M/T) and I want to be sure to keep it in tip top shape!!

Thank you to all of you for such a warm welcome. This is the first forum (other than tweakguides.com) that really laid out the virtual Welcome mat for me. It goes a long way in describing what a great community I've joined.

Yup. I didn't have "that" bad of an experience until it came to the financing conversation and then they did the ol' "let's start at 7.9% financing and let you try to talk it down" trick. I eventually got them down to matching my bank's interest rate and including a free set of all-weather floor mats.


QUESTION: I'm wondering, as I've browsed through most of the "Detailing 101", "How-To Articles" and "Professional Line" forums, I've noticed that there's no article simply called "How to wash your car."

I understand that it's a simple process (rinse, soap, rinse) but there are TONS of intricate details inside that generalized sequence from which noobs like myself would benefit.

Could anyone point me to a "How to wash your car" article. One that details the proper sponge/towel selection, where best to start, proper two-bucket methods, etc.
