Hey All,
I work for a dealership specializng in European Imports: Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Corvette, Audi and the like. I spent a number of years as a antique refinisher using siphon feed spray equipment to apply catalytic laquers. With alot of empahasis on high-gloss finished products so I have a decent understanding of clear finishes. Wet sanding is very familiar to me and ultimately want to be able to provide this service to my employer, instead of sending it out of house. Any help would be apreciated.
I recently purchased a Porter Cable variable speed buffer and have buffed many cars using Mequiars #2 High Tech Cleaner, followed by a hand rubbed Carnuba wax. Do I need a machine exclusively for cutting and sanding?
MD
