  • Confused

Hello all. My name is Brian I live in Jackson,TN. I have always enjoyed keeping my cars clean. These days it just seems there are to many different products to choose from.
    Plan of attack:
    1.NXT Generation Wash
    2.Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    3.Deep Crystal System Paint cleaner
    4.Deep Crystal System Polish
    5.NXT Generation Tech Wax
Has anyone used these before? Does this look like a good selection?

    Re: Confused

    Yes, your list looks fine.

    1. Wash - Good - Remember good quality towels, sponges, two buckets with Grit Guards if possible.

    2. Clay - You might want to pick up an extra bottle of Quick Detailer.

    3. Clean - Good

    4. Polish - Good

    5. Wax - Nxt Wax 2.0 - Remember two thin coats are best.

    6. Maintain - You might like to pick up a bottle or the Ultimate Quick Detailer to bring back that fresh shine after future washes. (This product is not for claying)

Here are a bunch of links as well for you that cover all the basics by hand and machine as well:

          Re: Confused

Thanks for the info Murr1525 and Mike. Another ? Does Meguiars have anything like Mothers Back to Black? I have a Chev Avalanch with alot of black plastic that stuff is terrible to keep looking black. It trys to turn a greyish looking color. The Back to Black seems to work better than anything I have found. Also do you have any secrets for water spots on glass?

            Re: Confused

As far as the dressing, I tend to use All Season Dressing on exterior trim, I think that will probably be the longest lasting thing Meguiars makes. You could order a sample size online to try it, instead of the full gallon.

As far as water spots, how bad are they? Both my cars when new had the basic dealership water spots, nothing super terrible. I believe it took 2-3 glass cleaning cycles and they were gone. By that, I mean I washed the car, clayed the windows, used the Nxt glass cleaner, and then applied RainX. After a couple times, the spots were just gone, so I didnt have to get too fancy.
