  • New guy from socal

Hello everyone just wanted to introduce myself. I've been into car for over 13 years now and have always been into go fast parts. I've been into detailing but no where near as serious as I could have been. Everything in the past was always done by hand. I was always afraid of "burning my paint" by using machines but soon realized after doing research that they can be very safe to use. I started out on autopia.org and soon made my way over here a few days ago. I have learned A LOT in the past 2 weeks and I can't wait to expand my knowledge in the world of detailing.

Today I went ahead and made my first major purchase from ADS. I picked up the basic G110 package along with the new 2.0 pads (6 pack). I already have an assortment of meguiars products in my garage and can't wait to try out the polisher. My first detail with the machine will consist of wash (2 bucket), cleaner, #7 then topped off with NXT 2.0.

As soon as I get the hang of it I will try some of the professional line product like M80, M83, M105 etc. My GF's car will need the most correction as her car is black and has been sitting outside. I'll try to take some photos of my progress to share with everyone.

Once again hello and happy detailing

The only reason some people get lost in thought... is because it is unfamiliar territory for them.

It's good to get multiple points of views and then do your best to decide whose information will be the best for what you want to do...

Mike is too modest. Sign up for the first open class you can attend at Irvine. You'll never regret it!

Yes I've been a member even before that board was around. I'm on my 4th mr2 now I can't seem to stay away from them.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I look forward to learning a lot from each and every one of you.

I will be sure to try attending one of the classes. Irvine is not very far at all for me.

Awesome! We just had a meet last weekend. My handle on the other boards is the same as the one here.

Welcome! I'm fairly new here too and also did everything by hand in the past. I ordered the G110 pkg. from ADS and you will quickly find it is a night and day difference in your results when using it! Good luck...
