Hi everyone, my name is Joe and i'm from Vancouver, Canada. This is my first time on this forum and I have a question. My jeep was just painted a week ago, the painter got as far as wet sanding the clear coat before he was involved in an accident on his way home one evening. Fortunately he will recover over time with no serious injuries but I now have a jeep that is not quite complete. Can anyone give me some tips on bringing the shine back? (I don't really want to pester the poor guy) Thanks.

Make sense?
That said, now that the clear coat has sanding marks in it, the best way to remove them is with a rotary buffer.
Do you own a rotary buffer?
Do you know how to use a rotary buffer?
It's possible to rub the sanding marks out by hand because we've introduced a compound that uses a new abrasive technology that will enable you to actually remove paint by hand without scouring the paint at the same time.
So there's two options, if you have a rotary buffer let us know, if you want to try to rub the paint out by hand then check this thread out...
Removing #2500 grit wet-sanding marks by hand using M105
Try to find out what grit your painter finished with, if it's #1500 grit you might want to re-sand with either #2000 or #2500 and this will make rubbing the sanding marks out easier both by hand or machine.

Re: Hello
Sorry Mike, I should have posted appropriately. No, I don't have a buffer i'll try to do this by hand first. I'm not sure what grit he last sanded with but I am going to check out that link and give it a shot..i'll let you know how it goes! Thanks for the advice
