  • Hello and a Question

Glad to be a part of the site. I've been reading/lurking for awhile, and now I am ready to get my hands waxy. I've got a 97 Miata I am going to try to rejuvenate the paint on, and also my wife's 98 Honda that has some nasty scratches. I am also slowly restoring a 73 Porsche 914, but it has more rust than paint at this point.

I just picked up a G110. I was originally set on the PC7424, but I decided the G110 would be a better fit. When the G110 first arrived I opened everything up to check it out. The plastic case that came with it is actually pretty handy.

Was this thing suppose to come with a backing plate? At first I figured that was just something I needed to get with my pads, but I have seen a few post mentioning it was included. It looks like there is a molded place for it in the middle of the bottom of the plastic case, and I double checked the shipping box and product box. I hopefully didn't get screwed.

I'm not sure... I went with a 7424, but I hope you get it worked out... it's so much better than by hand!

        Hello and welcome to mol.

Can't really answer your question without knowing were did you get it from? Was it part of a package deal? Was it purchased ala carte?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I can already tell this is going to be one of those great friendly forums.

I picked up the G110 on the Meguiar's Direct website. I was going to get a kit with different pads, but I didn't see a kit with the new washable pads so I decided to get them separately.

              http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/produc...p?T1=MEG+G110&.

I am just noticing the product description in the link says:
*G110 includes (polisher, "D" handle, custom hard case, W67DA backing plate, wrench, manual)
So I guess I will give them a call.
