For a newbie, start by reading and understanding these.. If you do, you will know more than 95% of the public, and even some of the "pro's"...

As far as starter kit, that is kind of broad. It is more a matter of how far you want to go, how involved ,etc.

The simplest complete detail by hand would be this (similar to the Bronco thread):

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. ColorX
4. Wax - Nxt 2.0

And of course that doesnt include wheels, tires, wheelwells, glass, trim, chrome/polished metal, interior, etc...

But let us know what you are looking to do...

under normal circumstances i wouldn't listen to anything a steeler fan has to say (GO RAVENS), but i really appreciate the links and all the guidance. as soon as i take it all in i'll make another reply
