Hey all. I've been lurking around the detailing forums, but never got around to creating a user. With some down time from college, I'm getting around to breaking in my Christmas present, the Porter Cable
.Though it's my first PC, I've used the clay bar, as well as polish and wax by hand.
With the new PC, I'm about to undertake my cousins' cars over the next week: a blueish gray 05 E46 330ci and a black 07 550i. The paint on the E46 isn't that great, so that's how it got volunteered as the test rig. Assuming everything works out, then I'll move on to the 550i. I'm thinking of using either NXT wax or the Harley Davidson S100 wax.
Oh, if anyone knows of any good local shops for detailing supplies in the Chicagoland area, around the north side/near north 'burbs, let me know!
I'll post pics on the before and after once I get through them. Wish me luck
