@ X88, I haven't been here for very long, so I don't know the location, but I know what you refer to by the widening of U.S. 1. I personally like driving U.S. 1, I don't need to worry TOO much about salt spray since it's not on the ocean, and it's pleasantly wide and twisty, not to mention usually decently cool thanks to the nice bit of wind off the water.
