Hey there,
My name is Kevin. I've owned a car wash near Jackson, MI for about 5 years and was so inclined to start detailing cars. Unfortunately I have little experience but a lot of business sense. I've been doing a lot of researching trying to absorb as much information as possible and quite honestly right now I'm pretty overwhelmed.
I've done enough to realize that Meguiars offers most of the best products for detailing. Unfortunately figuring out which of them to use for and for what seems to be a huge task. I've already realized I've been making a few mistakes in my detailing process. Hopefully I'll be on my game before long.
I've done about 15 details at this point. Starting off I've only been getting 1 or 2 per week.
I'm very low priced and I figure when I start to get busy I will raise my prices. So far all my customers have been anywhere from happy to absolutely ecstatic with the work I'm doing. So I must be doing something right.
At this point I'm averaging $15 to 20 an hour net.
Any one that has advice please feel free.
