  • hey guys new and questions

Hello im robby and im a new detailer. I've detailed my car numerous times but im going to do my dads tomorrow and i cant wait. Im going to use mostly all meguairs stuff and i hope it turns out well. heres my steps in doing so.
step 1: Use a hose and wash off the car.
step 2: use Crystal Deep meguairs soap in a 5 gallon bucket wit grit guard
step 3:Using the mircofiber sponge, wash down the car
step 4: dry off the car
step 5: using meguairs clay bar, clay bar the car with the megaurs detailer spray
step 6: Use the gold class wax and put it on by hand.
Step 7:Buff it in with the polisher
Step 8: Buff it out with the polisher
Step 9:spray down the car with the meguairs detailer to finish it off
    Step 10: use wheel cleaner

ok i got that. Now i have a buffer and im not sure how to use it with the bonnet it gives me.
it gives me a sponge bonnet
    micro fiber bonnet
and a synthetic wool polishing bonnet

Im going to put the paste on by hand. what bonnet do i use to buff it in and take the polish out?

Detailing is a learning process all the time. There are lots of topics to read about so if you have any questions feel free to post them up and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

For step 2, it says you can either use a paint cleaner and a clay. Can you just use the clay bar?

and for claying, can you use the same clay bar over and over again. if it doesn't hit the ground? and i got the clay bar kit that meguiars sells. Where can i get just the clay bars? what the heck do i use the cleaner wax for? it came with kit so im pretty sure i should use it..

I like to follow the claying with a cleaner wax.

I would recommend using a polish before the wax. Use the clay bar only once. If you see the dirt you have picked up, fold in half and use. Reusing a claybar has the potential to instill scratches. Use a thin layer of wax and use a microfiber bonnet to remove the wax after it bonds.
