I'll bet you've already guessed my name. I'm 21 years old from duluth and i drive a 1993 ford taurus SHO, its red outside grey inside with a 5spd. Ive currently in school to be an auto collision repair tech and ive successfully completed all in shop classes, i only need Practical math and trade communications before im I -CAR certified.
Although im done with the in shop classes im still very new to the industry and still in need of some experience.

I picked this car up for 500 dollars with a seized motor, clutch, and broken axle. The car sat outside in guys driveway for 3 years without moving, its seen alot of sun, rain, snow. Its come a long way since then.
The picture doesnt show the condition of the paint because my digi cam only costs 100 dollars. The entire car is faded. I pulled the rear "ford" emblem to replace it with a Yamaha one and the paint underneath was a deeper red, shinier, more vibrant. I know thats how the rest of it is supposed to look. During the school year we were very busy the only things i had time to do were buff the rear bumper and some electrical gremlins.
Theres are some minor scratches and alot of swirls but other then that there is no serious paint defects, no missing clear coat, no huge chips.
A year or so ago i bought a buffer from Sears i dont think its the right one. I cant seem to find a backing pad for it, i can post pics at a later time im at work ATM.
I'm mainly here for advice, help on what products to use, how severe the damage is to my paint and whats needed to restore it. Also to kill sometime while at work.
I'll try to post up some better pics of the paint sometime but the car is currently in the garage with the entire subframe/motor/trans out of it.
Thanks
-Brett
