  • hello from indiana

hello all, ive been reading the post here for awhile now and decided to join up. i have a few questions maybe you could answer. ive always kept my vehicles looking good thanks to the megs 3 step system! now ive got an 07 gmc sierra thats medium brown metalic. i want this truck to look great!
ive purchased a udm and pad kit, but im wondering what products to use with it. the truck is about 6 mo old and has been washed every week since ive had it. ive got the clay and some #2 . would this be a good product to use, or would the speed glaze be better? the paint really doesnt have any swirls or scratches....but i would really like to bring up the gloss. i used nxt paste on it when i got it. any advice would be great! thanks

Hi and welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Well if the paint is in good condition and you want to detail it then I suggest using some #80 as this will put some oils in the paint that will end up looking very nice, follow this by a good quality wax, Meguiar's makes wonderful waxes, all of them are great!

Any of our pure polishes followed by either the paste or liquid version of NXT will keep your truck's paint looking showroom new. Might try some M81 for a pure polish next if you're working by hand or with a DA polisher.

Also be sure to keep your wash mitt fresh, as in if your wash mitt starts to become tatty or worn, get a new wash mitt and always use a high quality car wash and drying cloths to dry the water off the paint.
