I am the proud owner of a new 2008 Silverado. A work truck (wt) in dark cherry metallic paint, 4x4 standard cab standard (6'6") bed, with those fine dealer installed scratches that seem to be allowable by Manufactures standards (Grrr!) . I love that Meguiars has so many products avoiding the 1 solution products. I am however overwhelmed by choosing what I should be using in my particular case. The combination of materials on this truck is vast, from black body plastics, clear and huge plastic headlight lenses and mat to semi-gloss black paint, 3m type clear body film. I must make this one last, based on my income and desires to avoid the 3 day purchase process I just went through. I hope that my next Truck is hydrogen powered. I will continue to lurk through the already posted solutions to refine my choices. Currently I have the clay bar system, ScratchX (black), the 3 step Deep Crystal system, and additional Quick Detailer. I think I'm going to get a Duel Action polisher, this thing is much bigger than the 91 Ranger it is replacing. Any links to good posts would be great, tons of content here keeping me from cleaning my truck. Especially advice on the various plastic components.
HAGD!
