Hello to all from Rockford,Illinois area. I recently purchase a 2001 black corvette for my retirement present to me. I had a 1962 corvette when I got out of high school in 1965. The c5 will be my daily driver from March to November. I have always enjoyed driving cool cars,and enjoyed cleaning them. Past vehicles have been two 1955 chevrolets,62 vette,57 chev. 66 chevelle, 62 Impala,65 Impala,63 chev truck. I should have kept a few of those ,right. The 62 vette cost me $3,600.00 IN 1965. I SOLD THE 66 CHEVELLE (427 ,4 SPEED 4;10 DIFF.) FOR $1,700.00 A LOT OF MONEY BACK THEN. I just want a vette for the road car fuel mileage. First trip home from Decatur,Il. I got 26.4 MPG at about 69 MPH. I was offered an early retirement after 34 years on the job at age 60 and took it. Now it's on to flying R/C airplanes,fishing(new tracker boat,and polishing the corvette. Hello to all. Denny
