Hello All! I recently got my activation confirmation so I would like to introduce myself. I'm Brett I am 21 and currently a senior in college majoring in Computer and Information Systems. I drive a 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat Supercrew. This fall I had some bodywork done at a local bodyshop who completely tore up one door with a buffer leaving holograms and everything. I took it back to the shop multiple times and well it didn't get any better. Well, this sparked my interest to learn about detailing and doing it the right way. Since the weather here has been terrible, I haven't been able to try out the things I've read, but I soon will. I've been reading the forum for a week or so now, and all I have to say is WOW! This place seems like a wealth of knowledge. I just hope I can learn as much about this "art' as possible. So Thank all of you all in advance for the information and knowledge!

Re: Well I got the go ahead
Welcome to MOL!
Nice truck! I miss mine. I used to have a 2004 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4. If I were to buy a truck now it would be an F150 for sure. Feel free to post up some photos. Then I can help you set one as your avatar too if you want.Scott

As you mention, in this forum their is a lot of information that can be very useful, and people that are willing to always help.
Hope you can start detailing when the weather clears up, good luck with it.

Processed your account this morning, sorry for the delay, we don't approve new accounts unless we're for sure going to be sitting behind the computer for a few hours in case a Spammer slips through our filtering process.

Most of the time when a customer complains about the swirls they'll just try to apply more glaze to fill in the swirls to get you to accept the work and go away.
For anyone reading this into the future, if the shop or dealership you take your car to swirls out your car, the solution is to never take it back to them and instead find someone that knows what they're doing and make the shop/dealership that swirled out your car's paint pay for having it done over the right way.
Sorry to hear of your bad experience, but we can help you to undo the damage.

Re: Well I got the go ahead
Nevermind the truck, what about the guitar? The last guy I heard go by that moniker was the late and great Roy Nichols. A young guy like you might have to look him up... my username is a hint.
Welcome to MOL. I'm sure you'll have that door and the rest of the truck looking tops in no time.
Ron
PS: My interest in the guitar is spaked by my own pedal steel guitar, which I may someday learn how to play.
