Newbie with Paint woes
Hi nice to meet everybody.......
I've been detailing cars for a long time..... as time has passed i have gotten better and faster at it........ and so have my results.......
I recently purchased my old man's car I just did not want to see it go....
The car was "Stored" and put away for months on a driveway under a palm tree in the hot Florida sun!!!!(ouch)
Any way when I got it it had a series of surface scratches spider web formations and such all over the roof hood and trunk the kind that you'd get in a catfight( use your imagination) they're everywhere .... how ever the bumpers fenders doors and quarters are perfect with a mirror image.......... hard to believe they make up the same car!!!
I have not been able to remove these scratches they seem like fine scratches and I have used crystal car wash scratch X Meguiars polish meguiars carnauba wax cleaner and followed that with gold class and Detailer........ while I was able to get all these surfaces to shine I have not been able to get rid of the fine scratches.... furthermore if you look at the car head on...... you won't see them how ever if you look directly from above or from a drivers perspective or from the rear you see them still....... ( the scratches are white) Scratch X helped get rid of some hazing and water stains around emblems... by the way......
I have repeated the above procedure but started with rubbing compound with marginally better results..........
I will include before and after pictures in a future post.........
I wash my cars on a weekly basis and wax them evry one to 2 weeks.... but this one is killing me... there is color under the scratches none are down to the primer or anything like that ..... any help would be great......
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between NXT and Gold Class waxes?
As well as Crystal, NXT, adn Gold Class Car wash?
