I can't believe it took me this long to discover that Meguiar's had such an awesome website!
Greetings from Chattanooga -
I'm relatively new to "serious" car care but have found it to be an addictive hobby. Like any new project, it is a great excuse to buy new toys!
My main focus now is restoring the paint on an '82 Ford F100 truck. My grandfather bought it new, gave it to my father who then passed it on to me. The fact that I have been showing my son how to drive it means that 4 generations of men in my family have been behind the wheel.
Anyoldway, looking forward to hanging out here and I hope to sharpen my skills to the point that I may contribute something back to this community. So far the level of expertise shown on this forum is outstanding.

Today, January 24th, marks our 4th year since opening the doors on the forum. Just curios... how did you find this forum/website?

My main focus now is restoring the paint on an '82 Ford F100 truck. My grandfather bought it new, gave it to my father who then passed it on to me. The fact that I have been showing my son how to drive it means that 4 generations of men in my family have been behind the wheel.

The paint on that truck should be a single stage paint unless it's been repainted, in most cases this means it will be fairly easy to work on unless it's white.

Welcome from another Tennessean! I'm a few hours away from you and a little north of Nashville.

I don't do alot of posting here, either, but I've learned a LOT about detailing my car from this forum. It's mind bogling with all the information that's on this forum and I'm still absorbing it. I've learned enough to not be dangerous while detailing my cars.

The "list o' links" will keep me busy for quite a while!
Mike - I found the site after purchasing the Meguiar's DeepCrystal 3 step system (along with a new buffer, various pads, clay bar, etc, etc). I was staring at this stuff saying "OK wiseguy, now what? I wonder if they have any info on their site?" Typically I shy away from corporate sites as they are usually pretty lame product plugs with a "Contact Us!" link if you have any questions. Little did I know that I was stumbling on a whole car crazy sub-culture! Wahoo!
It is great to see some other Tennesseans on board as well. Northtnguy, I too know just enough to be dangerous but as the saying goes:
I'm not a complete idiot......some parts are still missing.
